Here's a chance to help out the hard- working volunteers at CelticFest MS.

A special key fob has been handmade at no cost to the CHS and is offered up for sale for the low price of $5.00 (tax included). And here's the good part for the volunteers: all proceeds from the sale of these key fobs will go toward purchasing fans to put in the CHS booth and beverage tent at CelticFest MS. A 24" fan suitable for this task sells for about $100 at Home Depot.

You might ask, "Hey CHS types, what makes these key fobs so special?" A fine question that is. One thing is each key ring has a hand-tied sailor's knots on each end. THEN, in between those knots you will find one slightly used wine cork (no wine was injured in the making of these key fobs). Various corks from various vintages of various wines have been collected and turned into these works of art.

While it is not recommended to use these fobs while making Julienne fries, they will help you keep up with your keys. Plus they have the exclusivity of being a limited edition (subject to becoming less limited if we have demand and run across some more corks to tie up).

"I recently lost my keys for a week, and they turned up in the front yard," admitted a new CelticFest supporter. "I thought to myself, 'If I had bought one of those special, brightly-colored CelticFest cork-fobs, I would have spotted it in two seconds. I suppose a GPS bug on them would have worked better, but who wants to plug their keys in at night?"

Corks are cool.

So buy early and often, be the envy of your friends & neighbors. Plus they make terrific Samhain or Mabon gifts, too.

But wait, there's more! Options abound since we have several different brands of wine corks and several different colors of cord. If you have a special wine cork from that certain special occasion you would like made into key fob, we can accommodate you. Or if you like this idea but you don't really fancy the idea of having a wine cork in your pocket we can produce one sans cork. Or if you have some wine corks you would like to donate.... We can work with all of these.
