Grace MacMaster is an energetic Cape Breton fiddle player who finds the rich heritage of musical tradition refreshing. A native of Ontario, Canada, she recalls listening to old cassette tapes of Cape Breton fiddlers from a very early age. Grace's grandfather, the late Alexander H. MacMaster, was from Cape Breton, thus she is eager to embrace her Celtic roots by carrying on a cultural and family tradition. Grace is currently studying graphic design at Belhaven University in Jackson, MS.

During the summers, she resides in West Michigan where she focuses more heavily on music. She has attended the Leahy Music Camp and has also studied fiddle at the Gaelic College in St. Ann's, Nova Scotia. This summer, she coordinated and taught various fiddle workshops in the Grand Rapids area, and performed as a guest fiddler with the Michigan-based Irish band, Fonn Mor.
