Peg Loyd & John Burleson are a fun and engaging duo. Don Penzien accidentally paired these two gifted musicians and storytellers at CelticFest 2006 and the magic they created on stage led to return performances at CelticFest ever since, and at NTIF in Dallas (2011 & 2013). Burleson’s gift for storytelling and Loyd’s gifted voice for storytelling through songs make for a dynamic duo. They add uplifting tunes on whistle, guitar and bodhrán. Loyd is a 4-time award-winning songwriter, an award-winning bodhrán player, and a 4-time All-Ireland finalist. She released her debut CD, Carving in Stone, in 2008, and published her first book, The Path – Songs and Stories to Quiet the Mind, Calm the Heart & Inspire the Soul in 2013. The Path CD was just released this summer. She is co-author of six books on the subject of gratitude and writes a blog at www.PegRoachLoyd.WordPress.com.
