Now in its 20th year, Smithfield Fair is recognized as one of the foremost presenters of traditionally-based Scottish music in North America. Playing selectively the cream of Scottish events, their original songs have contributed to the rich heritage of songwriting in both North America and Scotland. Their independent label, Stevenson Productions, has released their 20th anniversary collection – Twenty for Twenty – and recently a collection of 20 songs – Charmer: The Perfect Café – from their previous venture which ‘morphed’ into Smithfield Fair. Together, these two releases commemorate nearly 4 decades of music by this family band. The group’s music is recognized and acclaimed world-wide and they continue a selective schedule of performances annually. Smithfield Fair consists of Jan & Dudley-Brian Smith, Bob Smith, and Frang Bladen.
